RAINBOWS AND LOLLIPOPS and THE TRIBUTE were originally created as part of a larger project/challenge for the writers at WNEP to produce short works that could be performed  within the confines of a home. The HOME THEATER PROJECT was an attempt to truly take theater to the people…and be able to perform it in your very living rooms.

We’ve moved the living room to a blackbox studio.

RAINBOWS AND LOLLIPOPS by Dave Goss

Dave is an actor, writer, and the Managing Director of WNEP Theater. He lives on the north side of Chicago with his wife and two daughters, and, since you asked, he’ll have a Maker’s on the rocks.

THE TRIBUTE by Rebecca Langguth (Director of RAINBOWS AND LOLLIPOPS)

Rebecca is a long-time WNEP company member and is exhausted.  She’s wearing several hats for this production, so if there’s something you love, it’s because the actors, writer and crew worked hard to made it happen.  If there’s something you don’t, blame Rebecca.  She’s the producer and that’s her job.  She is unemployed (so, if you hear of anything…)  She has a dog. She is luckier than most. If she only had one piece of advice to give you, it would be to drink Tito’s Handmade Vodka and maybe, just maybe, look at the world through the eyes and experience of someone else every once in a while.  Yeah.  That’s the ticket.

Amanda Rountree (Director of THE TRIBUTE)

Amanda started her theater career in 1992.  She relocated to Chicago in 2007 from Seattle where she was a performer and instructor with Unexpected Productions and a performer and co-artistic director of Playback Theater Northwest.  She is a resident teaching artist with Lifeline Theatre and The Second City Training Center.  She has directed for Theatre Momentum, The 365 Sketches Project, and FrankenRegan.  To find out more about her upcoming projects, please visit amandarountree.com.

Jul 2013 15

With less than two weeks away from our Opening Night, we’d like to introduce some of our COMPULSIVE BEHAVOIR cast.

Today, we’d like you to meet the folks bringing you the dark drama that is RAINBOWS AND LOLLIPOPS.  Jack and Raymond have the best of intentions.  They would do anything to make their family whole. Anything.

MICHAEL BARNARD as Raymond.

Michael hails from the Land of 10,000 Lakes and makes his living working behind the camera at a video production company. He is thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to perform live theater in the city of Chicago. Thanks to everyone who has made this possible.

BRYAN DAWIDOWICZ as Jack

Bryan is an actor and improviser from Hartford, Connecticut. Most recently, he has been privileged to perform on the local stages of the Annoyance, Raven, and Strawdog. Prior to that, Bryan spent some time in Philadelphia with the Wilma, Arden, and ComedySportz. This is actually Bryan’s secret return to WNEP Theater, having made several masked appearances (yeeears ago) in WNEP’s Gong Show. This show is for my Dad, because, he’s a good one.

ROSE SENGENBERGER as The Girl

Rose is thrilled to make her Chicago debut with WNEP Theater. Rose earned her BFA at Carnegie Mellon University, and recently moved to Chicago from Cleveland, OH. Favorite recent credits include “Akarui” and an adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s “October in the Chair”, both at Cleveland Public Theatre. Thank you to Rebecca and Dave for this opportunity, and to Adam for always being in my corner.

JAMES YEATER as Dick

Jim spent a few years as a proud member of WNEP Theater and is happy to be back doing this show. You might remember him from such shows as “Losers Bracket” and “Let There Be Light.” He also co-wrote, produced and acted in the critically acclaimed play, “Baker and Huff.”
