As I prepare for a weekend adventure in the corn-fed community of Three Oaks, Michigan, on which I will be joined by thirteen storytellers, a couple of their friends, and a certain spunky little brown-eyed four-year-old, I ask myself: “Am I out of my freaking mind?”
Watch this video of my daughter, taken about a year and a half ago, and decide for yourself:
Allow me to let you in on a little secret: my entire family is crazy. And we only get crazier over the years. I shot that video about a year and a half ago. She’s even crazier now. In short, the answer to my question is yes — I am out of my freaking mind. I’m taking my daughter, who’s out of her freaking mind, on a road trip with a bunch of people who are, each and every one of them, out of their freaking minds.
I’m so excited I could burst.
Come visit us at the Acorn Theater — for The Maelstrom on Friday, and the SKALD on Saturday. We’ll blow your freaking mind.
I love you.
